Speaker Bio
Dr. Ashley Wellman is a criminal justice scholar specializing in cold case homicide survivors and violent victimization. She routinely serves as a media expert and television commentator on a variety of criminology and social issues, partners with law enforcement on case management, and advocates for families impacted by crime. In 2018, her own life would be transformed after the traumatic, sudden loss of her husband. She launched her own retail business in 2019 with the creation of her first children’s book and has redefined what success and failure means by living a life filled with health, happiness, and purpose. Her most precious title is being mom to her daughter, Reagan. To date, she has published 6 children’s books and a young adult fantasy novel, working with talented illustrators from around the world to bring the pages to life.
