Pathways to Publishing

As an Acquisitions Director for Indigo River Publishing and current award-winning author, I have walked all three major pathways to publish my books. I traditionally published my first novel, A LOST WOMAN, and self-published my second novel, THE BLOOD INSIDE ME. I am currently in production with Indigo River Publishing to produce my third novel, A GIRL IN THE WATER.
Indigo River Publishing is a Hybrid Publisher, which means that when we decide to publish a book we partner with the author in creative rights, royalties, and the investment into producing the book. Hybrid Publishing is growing in popularity as authors are stepping away from traditional publishing due to a lack of creative control over their projects with very low royalties or they do not want to deal with the barriers to entry into the traditional publishing space.
In my lecture and/or panel discussion, we will discuss all the different ways an author can publish now, and identify the pros and cons of each path. The goal of this presentation/discussion will be to provide authors with the knowledge they need to make an informed decision about which path they want to take to publish their novel.
