August 2023 Monthly Meeting and Open Mic

Our August Open Mic will take place at the Pensacola     

Cultural Center boardroom with networking at 6:00 p.m.

and at 6:30 p.m., we will have a talk from our guest speaker,   

Jerry Merritt, an Air Force officer, historian, and genealogist.

He specializes in fiction and science fiction, and a few of his books

are based in Pensacola.

His presentation will cover insightful tips like:

·        Write 1,000 words every day.

·        Surprise yourself – or else you can’t surprise your readers.

·        Look forward to criticism. It makes your writing better.

·        Your readers are paying to read something they haven’t read before.

·        And more!

Open Mic will follow Jerry's talk.
